Recall - Contact Notes ("the app") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how the app handles your information. We believe privacy should be simple: your data is yours, it stays on your device, and we never see it.

Data We Collect

We collect nothing. All information you create or store in Recall — including contacts, notes, call logs, tags, social links, and key dates — is stored exclusively on your device using Apple's on-device database technology. None of this data is transmitted to any server operated by us or any third party.

Contacts Access

Recall requests access to your device's contacts for one purpose only: to import them into a local on-device database so you can enrich them with notes, tags, and other personal context. Specifically:

• Your contacts are read from your device and stored locally in the app
• No contact data is uploaded to any external server
• No contact data is shared with any third party
• You can revoke contacts access at any time in iOS Settings

Notifications

Recall uses local notifications to remind you of upcoming birthdays and anniversaries. These notifications are generated entirely on your device — no external server is involved. You can disable notifications at any time in iOS Settings.

Third-Party Services

Recall does not use any third-party analytics, advertising, tracking, or crash reporting services. There are no SDKs embedded in the app that collect or transmit data about you or your usage.

Data Security

Because all your data is stored on-device, its security is governed by your device's own security features — including your passcode, Face ID, and iOS data protection. We recommend keeping your device updated and using a strong passcode.

Children's Privacy

Recall is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.

If we update this privacy policy, the new version will be posted at this URL and the "last updated" date at the top will be revised. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
